Happy World Mental Health day!
Today is an international day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma. Each October, thousands of supporters come to celebrate this annual awareness program to bring attention to mental illness and its major effects on peoples' life worldwide.
Mental Health can affect adults, teenagers and children a population of 78% each year, and only half receives treatment often because of the stigma attached to mental health. Untreated, mental illness can contribute to higher medical expenses, poorer performance at school and work, fewer employment opportunities and increased risk of suicide.
Educate yourself on how you can help others or how you could help your self. Remember you are not alone in this world and I will keep on cheering for you to stay happy, positive and healthy.
